An abomination. As a software developer, I expect a certain quality when purchasing software from what was a reputable company, and a product that has a long history. The new Peachtree (Sage 50) falls miserably short of all my expectations.

While the design and workflow are built with true double-line accounting in mind, the execution falls short.

1) To record a payment with a debit/credit card, you actually need to enter the transaction as a check, and give it a check number or name. How long have we as a society been using plastic to pay for purchases? And you have no method to record such a transaction?

2) Incompatible with a 64-bit operating system or a 64-bit version of Microsoft Office. I understand. 64-bit systems have only been on the market for over 6 years now. Not that it should be that big of a deal. It's as simple as implementing the 64-bit versions of the same libraries you already have.

3) No ability to import/save documents...
