Review : Don't Buy The Upgrade
In case you are looking for information on how this product compares with version 8: I've been using AMS since version 6, because I always thought the studio series was a rare good deal from an otherwise disreputable company. If you are thinking of upgrading to version 9, my experience was that it could not be registered/run. If you want any help, you must first pay $29.95 to talk to someone, somewhere, on the phone.
The Sony user forum has nothing negative about any product, AFIK. When I signed on to the site and was transferred to the help section, the site lost my registration name and password, and afterwards claimed I have no account with Sony. (Yes, I'd checked the "Remember My Computer" box.)
Sony now assigns a code number to your computer and, if you re-name any drive, your code number apparently doesn't work any more. Maybe it's the USB drive I added to Win7 for a faster start? Of course there's no way I'll ever know, without Sony support, but this seems like an...
