Newest information. - July 10. 2012
On 9/1/2012 Intuit will cease the option to add "additonal" employees for $10 a month, for those months when you hire extra help. It was good while it lasted. :( Currently, if you have 3 employees there is no additional charge. Amazon is not selling the Unlimited version, nor is anyone else as of this writing.

Here is the scoop from the sales and support folks at Intuit....
On September 1, 2012 - if you try to run more than 3 employees, you will be asked to upgrade to unlimited. The cost is a staggering $395.00. They will prorate your initial cost and bill you for the rest. Your new renewal date will be the date you upgrade.

Example: Mary buys 3 employee software in March 2012 (for $150) and installs it on Mar 1, 2012. On Sep 1, 2012 she runs a 4 employee. Intuit will credit Mary $75 (unused portion of her March purchase)and charge her credit card for the remainder.

Sorry folks, as a small business...
