Review : Outstanding Tax Software
I have used Turbo Tax for the past 6 years and watched each year as it became worse and worse. After reading the reviews of it this year I decided to not use it. I will not allow any of my tax information online for any reason. I do not care how secure they SAY it is. It is not secure enough for me.
Anyway, I decided to take a chance on this Tax Act software. Now after completing my taxes with it I have to wonder why this appears to be so unpopular.
So let's compare it to TurboTax Home & Business Federal, which is what I have used for the past 6 years.

Turbo Tax $99.99
I have had trouble for the past two years getting Turbo Tax to install on my computer. Usually took about 15 minutes of install time. Tax Act installed in less than 2 minutes. This year I've read that you must have Service Pack 3 on Windows XP to even install Turbo Tax. Tax Act installed perfectly on my XP service pack 2 computer.
