Review : Military retirees need to read
There is some difficulty manuvering through the software that may cost you money. I live in Michigan where military retirement income is excempt from state tax. The problem with the Tax Cut is it doesn't offer you the chance to declare this. It does ask if your income is "Active Duty Military" and to get the state exception you have to select this choice. It would be so much better if they offered two choices. The other being is any income "Retired Military"? Buyer beware. I caught the mistake after my state return had been efiled and had to go back and do an amended return. The difference in terms of money was about $900.
